Bank of Malaya
Updated: Feb 28

The Sarang Paloh Heritage Stay & Event Hall was formerly known as the Oversea Building. However, the history of the building goes back to the formative days of the Bank of Malaya in 1920. The Bank of Malaya went into voluntary liquidation on 6 May 1932 during the Great Depression.
Below are some paper clippings telling the stories of the Bank of Malaya.
